A Typical Rodriguan River Reserve in the Center of the Island- Southern Hemisphere

This photo has been taken at an altitude of about 200 meters from a center village towards the North. It illustrates a water course in the center of Valley  
"Fond La Bonte"within the reserve of " River Oyster Bay ". The multi-storeyed Forest consists of mainly exotics namely Litsea glutinosea (with purple fruit- commonly named as Bois D'Oiseau), Bamboo, Eucalyptus tereticornis, Acacia species, herbs and grass among others. It is one of the only about ten permanent flowing Rodriguan rivers.  Rodrigues is mountainous with elevation of 30-60%, frequently visited by climate change and global warming cyclones(http://climatenasa.gov).
